„Symbols are the stuff of which GODS are made”
When you see a famous logo it is your heart that makes the association with the brand, not your brain. It is like you feel the comfort of Nike, the utmost technology of an Apple and the speed and power of a BMW.
Today they symbolize a heavy load of qualities built over time, reaching straight to the heart of the consumer.
As for the design, as the fame increased, it got simpler, even minimalist, heavily backed up by its own fame.
MCDONALD’SMCDONALD’S logo stands for the world's largest chain of fast-food restaurants. Even if not McDonald's was the inventor of the hamburger or the fast food, its name has become nearly synonymous with both.
Created by Jim Schindler and introduced in 1962, the McDonald's Golden Arches logo was to resemble new arch shaped signs on the sides of the restaurants; the famous stylized “M” is now recognized worldwide.

BMWThe Bavarian Motor Company, a.k.a. BMW is another example of a world class and world famous logo that stirs man’s passion about sport cars.
The four quadrants of alternating white and blue color log is not less than a stylized representation of an airplane propeller spinning against the clear blue sky.
The blue and the white stand for the traditional colors of Bavaria, reflecting the origins of BMW, as a military airplanes engine manufacturer back in WWII.
Trough all its history, BMW remained faithful to its logo building a brand, building a car that stepped out from the crowd and ultimately building a colossal reputation that made people look when the blue and white quadrants appear.
When you see this logo you think instantly about power, horsepower, freedom, speed and manhood.
SUPERMANHere is maybe one of the greatest and most recognized logo ever created, with a great story about its creation.
Jerry Siegel, Shuster and Superman… the first two created the last, choosing the hero’s initial as a logo, the famous “S” resembling its creators name, too.
Every element of the superman logo bears some connection with history, literature, science and the arts.
The superman bears a large red letter "S" inscribed within a yellow shield bordered in red written on the hero’s chest.
The symbol “S” stands not only for ‘Superman’ in but it also says Saving Lives, Stopping Crime and giving Super-Aid wherever it’s needed.
The Superman creators have changed the logo into many artistic styles along the decades, but the fundamental details have remained merely unchanged.
