BWF New LogoAt the Sudirman Cup world mixed team badminton championship in Glasgow, Badminton World Federation (BWF) formally unveiled its new logo.

Shaped like a racquet head that symbolizes the globe, the logo tries to illustrate badminton’s wide spread and growing appeal, while the shuttlecock within signifies the dynamic nature of the sport.

BWF deputy president Punch Gunalan said: "The new logo is a great asset to BWF and a contribution to promote badminton throughout the world”.

The three-month logo design competition had 1,669 competitors, with the Indonesian Aboeb Luthfy as the winner and the proud provider of BWF new visual trademark as well as the winner of a 5,000 US dollar prize.
